Atty. Maricris Bathan-Lasco is a Certified Public Accountant and an accomplished lawyer, currently serving as the Managing and Founding Partner of Bathan-Lasco Baterina Abayon Law (BLBA) and Senior Partner at Bathan & Associates Law Firm. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Accountancy in 2003 and later earned her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of San Carlos in 2008. During her undergraduate and law school years, she was an active debater and mooter, earning several distinctions as Best Debater, Best Speaker, and Best Mooter in local, national, and international competitions. Combining expertise in both law and finance, she offers clients a well-rounded perspective that integrates legal strategy with financial insight.

Beyond her practice, she is deeply committed to legal education, serving as Dean of the School of Law at Sto. Niño Mactan College since 2022 and as a Professor at the University of San Carlos School of Law since 2009. She has extended her passion for education by launching a YouTube channel, MBL CLASSROOM, where she breaks down legal provisions—an effort that has already attracted over 14,000 subscribers and continues to grow. She has also been active in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), where she served as Director of the Cebu City Chapter from 2019 to 2021, a lecturer for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) program in 2024, and more recently, she was recognized as an Excellence Awardee by the IBP Cebu Chapter in 2025.

Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her excellence and leadership, receiving numerous awards including Best Speaker and Best Memorial at the Asian Law Students Conference (2004), The Outstanding Graduate of the University of San Carlos (2004), The Outstanding JPIAN of the Philippines (2003), and The Outstanding Leader of the University of San Carlos (2002). She was also honored with the prestigious SGV Award for Excellence in Accounting in 2003.
